Amplex AB has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the Swedish company Aros Industripartner AB. The seller is the company’s Managing Director Anders Melhag.<\/p>\n
Aros Industripartner is based in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s, Sweden, and was formed in its current form in 1990 after previously being a unit within the Trelleborg Group. The company develops and manufactures products mainly for the Nordic rail industry in materials such as rubber, plastic, polyurethane and aluminium. The company also offers services in engineering, design and construction. Aros Industripartner has 18 employees and an annual turnover of approximately SEK 45 million.<\/p>\n
“With a long history as a supplier to the Swedish industry, Aros Industripartner has built up extensive knowledge in industrial rubber and in recent years also in the processing of plastics, polyurethane and aluminium. With high-quality proprietary products niched towards the railway segment, we see good growth opportunities for the company as the need for investment and maintenance in the train fleets is great both in and outside Sweden. Aros Industripartner will therefore be an interesting and valuable addition to our Group,” says Henrik Johansson, Head of Business Area Industrial at Amplex.<\/p>\n
All employees of Aros Industripartner will continue in the company after the change of ownership, with the difference that Anders Melhag will hand over the Managing Director responsibilities to Mattias Svaneg\u00e5rd. However, Anders will continue to work for the company in a leading position. He comments: “I am very pleased to hand over the ownership of Aros Industripartner to Amplex, which is a stable and long-term owner, and which values the driving forces of entrepreneurship. Within the Amplex Group, Aros Industripartner will receive support and tools to continue to develop based on the company’s own premises, which will also benefit our customers and employees.”<\/p>\n
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval under the FDI Act and closing is expected to take place in early September.
